To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Uganda or a nation from East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan)
- Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, or from conflict/post-conflict areas
- Be under 30 years old (for undergraduate programs) or under 35 years old (for master’s programs)
- Have completed secondary school or a diploma within the last two years (four years for refugees and IDPs)
- Meet the admission criteria for the selected degree program at Gulu University
- Show interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
- Have leadership potential and a strong commitment to community transformation

- Applicants already receiving another scholarship are NOT eligible.
- Former TAGDev scholarship recipients cannot reapply.
